The proposed Khaltephant Ryale Birtakhet Solar Lift ISP Irrigation Sub-Project having net command area of 15 Ha lying in Ward No 10 of Bhanu Municipality of Tanahu district is a New System. No economical surface irrigation system is feasible in the area. The only possibility of providing irrigation water in the target area is by lifting water from the Marsyangdi River.
The proposed Tallo Churunga Dharapani Solar Lift ISP having net command area of 15 Ha lying in Ward No 19 of Pokhara Metropolitan City of Kaski district is a New System. No economical surface irrigation system is feasible in the area. The only possibility of providing irrigation water in the target area is by lifting water from the Groundwater Sources.
- Regarding the field work, a survey team was allocated at the site consisting of sociologist, geologist surveyors, engineers etc. for the topographic and socio-economic survey. Questionnaire survey and interview were applied for social data;
- During this phase of the study, the consultant collected all physical data, geological and geographical information, climatological records of the Project area, other information and reviewed the existing documents, proposed alignment of the canal;
- Study of collected maps, ascertain project structure locations and pipe alignment, preparation of study area reference plan.
- Carried out hydrological, agricultural, material and environmental study;
- Carried out quantity and cost analysis and performed economic analysis;
- Carried out pumping well design, pipe design;
- Preparation of detailed drawing of topographic layout, well, pump, pump house, solar panels etc.
